How to Go Live in Facebook Group? Guide 2022

Step 1: Choose the “Live Video” Option

Step 2: Choose Your Privacy Setting

You must decide who is permitted to watch your live stream. Select your privacy level in the audience selection menu at the top of the screen.

  6. Specific friends
  7. Only me

If you want to try out a Facebook live session before you broadcast to an audience, choose the Only me privacy setting, which will be nestled under See All.

Step 3: Set the Camera Orientation

Give Facebook permission to use your device’s camera and microphone if asked. Select either the front- or back-facing camera. You don’t need to worry about switching between horizontal and vertical because all Facebook Live videos are square.

Step 4: Write a Description

Write your description in the Tap to add a description… above the Go Live option.

Since you want people to participate in your live broadcast, your description should be compelling and action-oriented

Step 5: Add Tags, Feelings, Or Activities

Using the @ sign or tapping the tag icon, you can tag people. Additionally, you can add a feeling or activity to a location and tag it. This will increase the audience reach and engagement of your live broadcast.

Step 6: Add Fun Additions to Your Video

To add fun effects to your live video and add fun features to keep your audience interested and involved, tap the wand icon in the top left corner. From there, you can access filters, lenses, and tools.

Step 7: Start Broadcasting Live

By tapping the Go Live button after everything is set up, you can begin your Facebook live. A countdown will appear before the camera starts to roll.

Step 8: Introduce Yourself and the Topic

Introduce yourself and briefly discuss the reason(s) you are going live on Facebook at the beginning of your live session. Reintroduce yourself and the subject of the live session as needed to new viewers who are just tuning in during the live broadcast.

Step 9: Interact With Your Viewers

The amount of time that has passed can be seen in the top left corner of the screen as your live session continues. Additionally, you can view the audience size of your live broadcast.

Reverse chronological order will be used to display comments at the bottom of the live video. Throughout the broadcast, address your audience by name, thank them for watching, and respond to their comments.

Step 10: End the Broadcast

Informing your viewers that your live session is coming to an end is the proper way to end it. With a final call to action, thank them for watching and staying with you.

To end the broadcast, tap Finish from the bottom right corner. The video replay can then be posted on your profile if you so choose. You can go back and change the video reply’s description or privacy settings, or you can eventually decide to delete it, just like you can with any other Facebook post.
